Sistema informático para mejorar la gestión de las historias clínicas en el Centro Asistencial Materno Infantil Pimentel

Abstract

El desarrollo del presente trabajo tiene como objetivo general desarrollar un sistema informático para mejorar la gestión de las historias clínicas en el Centro Asistencial Materno Infantil Pimentel. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se trabajó con una población de 71 trabajadores del Centro Asistencial Materno Infantil Pimentel, y para la muestra se consideraron a 42 de ellos a quienes se les aplicó un Pre-Test y Post-Test para diagnosticar el estado del proceso de gestión de las historias clínicas y evaluar el desempeño del sistema informático a proponer. La investigación es de tipo aplicada según su objetivo, descriptiva según su grado de conocimiento del objeto de estudio, cuantitativa por el tipo de datos que se emplea, transversal por el período de tiempo en el que se realiza y experimental por el grado de manipulación de las variables. Los resultados obtenidos al diagnosticar el estado actual del proceso de gestión de las historias clínicas mediante encuestas al personal de salud indicaron que tardan más de 4 minutos en llenarse, así mismo, tardan 31 minutos para actualizar información de un paciente luego de ser atendido y las recetas médicas tardan más de 15 minutos en ser recibidas a raíz de lo cual se desarrolló un sistema informático con la metodología de desarrollo de software SCRUM para mejorar la gestión de historias clínicas. Finalmente se corroboró que el sistema informático desarrollado mejoró de manera significativa la gestión de las historias clínicas, lo cual beneficiará al personal de salud y al mismo tiempo a la atención de pacientes asegurados por el Ministerio de Salud

The general objective of this study is to develop a computer system to improve the management of medical records at the Pimentel Maternal and Child Health Care Center. For the development of the research we worked with a population of 71 workers of the Pimentel Maternal and Child Health Care Center, and for the sample we considered 42 of them to whom a Pre-Test and Post-Test were applied to diagnose the state of the medical records management process and to evaluate the performance of the computer system to be proposed. The research is applied according to its objective, descriptive according to its degree of knowledge of the object of study, quantitative because of the type of data used, transversal because of the period of time in which it is carried out and experimental because of the degree of manipulation of the variables. The results obtained when diagnosing the current state of the medical records management process through surveys of health personnel indicated that they take more than 4 minutes to be filled, likewise, it takes 31 minutes to update information on a patient after being attended and medical prescriptions take more than 15 minutes to be received, as a result of which a computer system was developed with the SCRUM software development methodology to improve the management of medical records. Finally, it was corroborated that the computer system developed significantly improved the management of medical records, which will benefit health personnel and at the same time the care of patients insured by the Ministry of Health.
